Background
For our 4th instalment of ‘The Pitch’, we again, were served with the task of “selling the unsellable”. This time, the brief was to promote national, “Buy Nothing Day”.
Result
We cast a young Aussie male, being interviewed by an unseen person in a quirky location. An example of true deadpan Aussie vernacular was used to drive the idea, with the insight of ‘sometimes nothing, can actually mean ‘something’. The Gruen panel gave us a split decision and we ended up with a draw – a gong in the hand nonetheless!
