Background

 

Balance was briefed to name and brand the new Queenscliff Ferry Terminal Redevelopment in December 2022, marking the culmination of a 15-year vision.

The new brand needed to encapsulate: The journey on the ferry and what this represents. The unique memorability of this and the feelings it engenders. The unique setting. The overwhelming palate of beauty that surrounds this venue on all sides and the emotional and spiritual power of this.

Result

 

Named after the word for “wing” in the Wathawoorroong Language, we aimed for nothing less than to take people on a mental and spiritual journey in sync with the overwhelming beauty and rawness of its surroundings.

Our inspiration for our brand was derived from the wings of the iconic Seabird and the letter T, which reflect the amazing, state-of-the-art architecture of the new terminal. Simple, Emblematic, Proud, Prestigious, Natural and Contemporary.

Full brand identity suite was produced including style guide, digital signage, a social media campaign, OOH and printed collateral.
